Job summary

Lowe's in Pineville, LA, seeks a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team in delivering outstanding customer service, maintaining a clean, safe store, and ensuring products are stocked. You will coach associates, manage daily tasks, and support merchandising decisions to meet sales goals.

Responsibilities include supervising customer-facing activities, inventory control, safety compliance, and occasional store opening/closing. Travel is rare, with occasional meetings or trainings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience.
• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks, and monitor daily performance.
• Ensure adequate department coverage and manage performance.
• Handle customer-facing activities: greeting, identifying solutions, closing sales.
• Oversee non-customer-facing tasks: down stocking, inventory management, area recovery.
• Maintain store safety through safety walks and hazard reporting.
• Coordinate with leadership to share best practices and mentor other departments as needed.
• Occasionally open/close the store or act as manager-on-duty.
• Travel occasionally to meetings or trainings.
