Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in Michigan is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure a clean, safe, and well-stocked store.

You will coach staff, delegate daily tasks, monitor performance, and coordinate with other departments to meet sales goals. Responsibilities include customer-facing activities, safety, and area recovery, with flexibility to open/close or act as MOD.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support those directly helping customers and deliver the best service.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery and contribute to merchandising decisions.
• Coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques and monitor store safety.
• Lead and enable a team to deliver the best customer experience, including coaching, delegating, and performance management.
• Supervise associates across departments as needed to meet store demands and communicate concerns upward.
