Job summary

Lowe's is seeking a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates in delivering exceptional customer service in a busy retail environment. You will coach staff, manage daily tasks, and ensure safety and efficiency across the department.

The role involves partnering with store leadership to optimize merchandising, training, and performance, while maintaining strong guest interactions and store standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in a retail environment OR 5 years of experience in a retail environment.
• 1 year of experience in customer service.
• 1 year of experience supporting the unique needs of Pro customers (for Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience providing direction or supervision to teams (with or without direct report responsibility).
• Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience working cross-functionally.
• Experience Using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources and tools to support associates helping customers.
• Assist with down stocking and area recovery and input into merchandising decisions.
• Coach employees on safe behaviors and lifting techniques; monitor use of store power equipment.
• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience in the store.
• Supervise customer-facing activities (greeting, needs clarification, solutions, closing sales) and non-customer-facing activities (inventory, safety).
• Communicate best practices to the team to drive engagement and goal attainment.
• May occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel to meetings/trainings or to support neighboring stores as needed.
