Job summary

Lowe's Stores in the United States seeks a Sales Floor Department Supervisor to lead a team of associates and deliver outstanding customer experiences. You will coach and train colleagues, delegate daily tasks, manage performance, and ensure the department is properly staffed and stocked.

You will interact with customers, identify solutions, and support merchandising, safety, and area recovery. Travel is minimal; occasional store opening/closing and manager-on-duty duties may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of retail experience or 5 years in retail.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year supporting Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with or without reports).
• Experience training, mentoring and developing associates.
• Experience cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to obtain sales licensure or registration if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable a team of associates to deliver the best customer experience.
• Coach and train staff, delegate tasks, and monitor daily performance.
• Handle both customer-facing activities and non-customer-facing duties (stocking, inventory, area recovery).
• Ensure department coverage, safety walks, and proper lifting directions.
• Communicate best practices to the team and supervise cross-department coverage.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Minimal travel; may attend meetings or trainings as needed.
