Job summary

Tarheel Electric Membership Association, Inc. (TEMA) is seeking a Sales Coordinator to support daily interactions with customers, process and expedite orders, and maintain follow-up procedures to ensure satisfaction.

You will be the primary internal contact for customers, delivering top-tier service while collaborating with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Accounting to streamline order flow and accuracy. Onsite work required with potential weather-related emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience; order entry experience preferred.
• Knowledge of order processing, purchasing, and invoicing procedures.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to learn purchasing, order processing, and sales procedures.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders for stock items, non-stock items, and direct ship orders; follow up and reconcile discrepancies.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide order-status updates.
• Request vendor quotations and purchase materials per procedures.
• Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders for accuracy and forward to Accounting.
• Review the Invoice Edit Report and Open Sales Reports; investigate orders as needed.
• Maintain customer accounts and supporting documentation.
• Provide backup support and assist the Director of Sales with special projects.
• Learn established purchasing, order processing, and sales procedures.
