Job summary

North Carolina’s Electric Cooperatives seeks a Sales Coordinator to interact daily with existing customers, process and expedite orders, and ensure satisfaction. You will serve as the primary internal point of contact for customers, delivering exceptional service and support.

The role requires a high school diploma (college degree preferred) and at least one year in a customer service-related position, with order-entry experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter orders for stock items, non-stock items, and direct ship orders. Follow up, expedite, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain orders through completion to ensure satisfactory results.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and provide updates regarding order status, shipping, changes, and other order-related needs.
• Request vendor quotations as required and purchase materials according to established procedures.
• Verify vendor invoices for direct shipments against purchase orders for accuracy in pricing, quantities, miscellaneous charges, and other details, and forward approved invoices to Accounting for payment.
• Review the Invoice Edit Report daily for accuracy. Review customer Open Sales Reports and initiate investigations into orders when necessary.
• Maintain customer accounts and supporting documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
• Provide backup support for others in the department and assist the Director of Sales with special projects as required. Additional responsibilities may evolve to meet business needs and industry changes.
