Job summary

La‑Z‑Boy Incorporated in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Sales Associate to drive furniture, accessories and services sales while delivering exceptional customer service and promoting the Design program. You will guide customers through the selling process, schedule home consultations, and support the Designer to reach design sales goals.

The role emphasizes upselling, meeting store targets, maintaining showroom standards, and using Podium for customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service skills, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence.
• Demonstrated persuasion and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Evening, weekend and holiday availability as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives sales by selling furniture, accessories and services offered by La‑Z‑Boy.
• Promote the Design program and assist the Designer to achieve design sales goals.
• Execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process and provide a favorable customer experience.
• Develop and utilize sales skills including needs discovery, objections handling, and closing.
• Maximize store promotions and marketing initiatives.
• Schedule deliveries and coordinate with customers.
