Daikin Applied’s Alliance Air Products division is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer to support the sales team on custom Commercial Air Handlers. You will provide technical design input, competitive positioning, and customer-facing value demonstrations.

The role is based in Southern California with on-site presence in the San Diego office once a week and travel to Tijuana and customer sites as needed. Responsibilities include responding to inquiries, proposing product modifications,

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years' related experience, 4+ years' experience in commercial HVAC strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Experience reading prints, drawings, and other technical documents.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.

Location:Southern California, onsite in the San Diego office once a week with some travel to the manufacturing facilities in Tijuana, Mexico and customer visits.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing.
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements.
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs. Assess processes to meet those needs.
• Process requests for modifications or options and other information not covered by published pricing.
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace.
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application.
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers.
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes.
• Provide leadership and direction within sales and engineering organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of degree. High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years' related experience, 4+ years' experience in commercial HVAC strongly preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD. Experience with HVAC component selections (coils, fans, heat exchangers).
• Experienced in blueprint and technical document review with ability to understand and read technical details from prints, drawings, and other documents.
• Independent analysis and judgment skills, using prior experience and knowledge to resolve non-standard problems.
• Preferred bilingual English/Spanish.

The typical salary for this position ranges from $82,000 - $145,000 in San Diego. The range displayed represents the pay range for positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
