Job summary

Daikin Applied is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer III in Plymouth, MN with a hybrid work model. You will apply technical expertise to assist sales teams in selecting and applying Daikin products to meet customer requirements, while positioning products competitively in the market.

You will collaborate with customers, provide demonstrations of value, and, depending on experience, lead within the marketing applications organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience.
• HVAC experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales inquiries on applications, systems or pricing.
• Communicate with customers to evaluate needs and propose solutions.
• Process modification requests and general information not in published pricing.
• Stay informed on new products and competitive models.
• Analyze and propose product/service modifications to meet requirements.
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field use.
• Conduct product training for sales representatives and customers.
• Evaluate and improve product training processes.
• Provide leadership within the marketing applications organization.

Sales Applications Engineer III - Plymouth, MN - Hybrid

Daikin Applied is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer. In the position, you will provide technical expertise on company products to sales representatives in the selection and application of business unit products to fulfill specific field requirements. In addition, you will implement strategies on how to position the product to effectively compete in the marketplace. You will be required to collaborate effectively with customers while effectively demonstrating value of company product lines. Additionally, depending on your level of experience, you may provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, accurate support to sales representative inquiries regarding special applications, systems or pricing
• Communicate with customers to evaluate and understand their needs. Assess processes to meet those needs
• Process requests for modifications or options and other general information not covered by published pricing
• Keep informed on new products and competitive models in the marketplace
• Analyze and propose modifications to current products and services to meet customer requirements
• Prepare technical literature for internal and field application
• Conduct product training to sales representatives and customers
• Evaluate and propose improvements of product training processes
• Provide leadership and direction within marketing applications organization

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of Sales Applications Engineering experience
• HVAC experience

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,400 - $151,800 plus a 10% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which these positions fall. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including verification of employment history, education, background screening, and drug testing where permitted by law. Safety-sensitive positions may require cannabis (marijuana) testing. All testing and employment decisions will comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
