Job summary

Southland Industries offers an Internship and New College Graduate program focused on Occupational Health & Safety within the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection industry. The role supports the Safety Manager to enforce safety procedures on sites and understand division safety activities and construction processes.

You will learn by working with Southland's field employees and customers, gaining exposure to OSHA regulations and safety management, with opportunities for full-time

Qualifications

• Pursuing an degree aligned with Southland needs: Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all tasks on project sites are performed safely per safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist in implementing and distributing safety tailgate meetings.
• Distribute certification cards for industrial equipment training and maintain records.
• Report and manage all company vehicle claims.
• Assist in reporting workers' compensation claims.
• Update MSDS manual with current information.
• Assemble safety manuals for distribution.
• Maintain signed safety tailgate meeting forms.
