Job summary

Southland Industries Inc. invites motivated students to join our Internship and New College Graduate program, designed to provide a hands-on dive into Occupational Health & Safety within the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection space.

You will assist the Safety Manager, learn regulatory compliance, and work closely with field employees to support safe, efficient project execution. This paid program offers exposure to large-scale safety initiatives, with potential for full-time

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Southland needs: Occupational Health and Safety.
• Understand and communicate state, federal, local safety regulations (OSHA).
• Develop practical safety knowledge while working with field teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures on sites.
• Help implement the Corporate Safety Award Program.
• Distribute certification cards and track equipment training.
• Report and manage vehicle claims and workers' compensation reports.
• Maintain MSDS manuals and safety documentation.
• Support safety tailgate meetings and sign-in records.
