Job summary

Southland Industries is offering an Internship and New College Graduate program in Occupational Health & Safety. You will assist the Safety Manager with enforcing safety procedures on design/build HVAC, plumbing and fire protection sites.

You’ll support tailgate meetings, MSDS management, and injury/vehicle claim reporting while learning OSHA regulations. The program emphasizes hands-on experience with field employees and the chance to progress toward full-time opportunities within a leading MEP

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree that aligns with Southland needs: Occupational Health and Safety.
• Working knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to learn safety and loss management while collaborating with field teams.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and good communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures on sites.
• Help implement and distribute safety programs and tailgate meetings.
• Maintain MSDS records and safety manuals for distribution.
• Support reporting of workers compensation claims and vehicle claims.
