Southland Industries’ internship program offers hands-on exposure in Occupational Health & Safety within the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection industry. You'll assist the Safety Manager to enforce procedures and understand field safety coordination.

The program emphasizes learning OSHA regulations, practical site safety, and opportunities to connect with field teams, while exploring potential career paths at one of the country’s largest MEP building systems firms.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Safety (OSHA related).
• Knowledge of construction safety practices and loss management.
• Ability to work with field employees in a professional manner.
• Understanding OSHA regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project sites follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Assist in implementing safety programs and tailgate meetings.
• Maintain records of training and safety forms.
• Manage safety certification cards and MSDS records.
• Report and manage company vehicle claims.
