Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking interns and new graduates to join its Occupational Health & Safety program within the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection sectors. You will assist the Safety Manager in enforcing safety rules and coordinating field activities to improve project safety and regulatory compliance.

You will gain hands-on experience, work with field teams, and develop skills in safety inspections, documentation, and training while exploring potential full-time

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Occupational Health and Safety.
• Familiarity with construction safety practices and loss management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures on site.
• Assist in distributing safety materials and tracking training.
• Help manage safety records and incident reporting.
• Coordinate with field staff to ensure OSHA compliance.
• Participate in tailgate safety meetings and safety audits.
