Job summary

Southland Industries, Inc. offers an Internship and New College Graduate program focused on Occupational Health & Safety within the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection sectors.

You will assist the Safety Manager to enforce safety procedures, learn about OSHA regulations, and gain hands-on exposure while working with Southland's field teams to build a professional skill set.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with Southland’s safety needs (Occupational Health and Safety).
• Working knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to learn from field employees and communicate safety requirements.
• Strong work ethic, initiative, and accountability in stressful contexts.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures on site.
• Support distribution of MSDS and safety manuals.
• Help maintain safety records and tailgate meeting documentation.
• Coordinate safety trainings and certification tracking.
• Support incident reporting and OSHA compliance activities.
