Job summary

Southland Industries Inc. is seeking motivated interns and new college graduates to join our Occupational Health & Safety program in the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection division.

You will assist the Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures to meet OSHA requirements and help coordinate division safety activities and construction processes. As part of a hands-on internship, you will work with field personnel, gain exposure to safety practices, and learn to communicate state,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree aligned with safety and loss management.
• Willing to learn state, federal, and local safety regulations (OSHA).
• Strong work ethic and ability to operate with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Safety Manager with enforcing safety procedures on sites.
• Support OSHA compliance and safety program administration.
• Help maintain MSDS records and safety training documentation.
• Assist in reporting workers' compensation and vehicle claims.
• Contribute to safety tailgate meetings and recordkeeping.
