Job summary

Southland Industries offers an Internship and New College Graduate program focused on Occupational Health & Safety within the Design/Build HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection industry. You will assist the Safety Manager to enforce safety procedures and learn regulatory requirements on projects and facilities.

You will gain hands-on experience working with field employees, documenting training, and supporting safety programs while exploring potential career paths in a leading MEP firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
• 0Working knowledge of construction safety practices.
• Able to understand OSHA regulations.
• Professional conduct with field employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in enforcing safety procedures.
• Ensure site tasks comply with OSHA standards.
• Distribute certification cards and maintain training records.
• Report and manage company vehicle claims.
• Update MSDS manuals.
• Assemble safety manuals for distribution.
• Assist in safety tailgate meetings and record forms.
• Maintain records of tailgate meeting sign-offs.
