Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily package sortation operations and a team of Handlers and administrative staff. You will champion the Safety Above All culture, hire and coach staff, and ensure adherence to FedEx policies and governmental regulations.

Responsibilities include planning and directing operations, managing staff to optimize safety, cost, and quality, and using reports to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 6 months experience in a fast-paced environment (warehouse, dock, or similar).
• Able to supervise, coach and develop staff and manage safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Champions FedEx Safety Above All culture and related initiatives.
• Hire, coach, train, evaluate, and manage staff performance.
• Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations and staff.
• Assign staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation of packages; manage trailers with linehaul as applicable.
• Analyze operations data and identify improvement opportunities; execute action plans.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates and daily goals; communicate to groups.
