Job summary

FedEx Logistics seeks a frontline Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day sortation operations, manage a staff of Package Handlers and administrative personnel, and uphold the Safety Above All culture. The role emphasizes coaching, training, performance management, and compliance with FXG policies and governmental regulations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, six months of supervisory or related experience, and strong leadership, communication and mentorship abilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in supervisory roles with emphasis on safety and operations is beneficial.
• Strong communication, coaching and training skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations and assigned staff.
• Ensure safe and efficient package sortation and adherence to FedEx policies and procedures.
• Recruit, coach, train, recognize, evaluate and manage staff performance.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control operations; monitor expense and quality metrics.
• Lead safety initiatives and administer training on quality assurance and dock safety.
• Mentor new Operations Supervisors and adapt to changing business needs.
