Job summary

FedEx is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the Safety Above All Culture and manage day‑to‑day operations and staff. You will oversee safe and efficient package sortation and assign staff to ensure quality and compliance with FedEx policies and regulations.

You will lead meetings, mentor staff, and drive performance improvements while collaborating with multiple departments to meet daily goals and cost targets. This role is on‑site and requires strong leadership and safety focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Six months experience in package handling or supervisory roles.
• Ability to inspire a shared vision and motivate a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication and data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related business applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and staff to ensure safe, efficient sortation.
• Hire, coach, train, evaluate, recognize and manage staff.
• Plan and direct day‑to‑day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe sortation and control costs.
• Analyze performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement action plans.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate updates to the workforce.
• Support safety strategies and regulatory compliance.
• Train new employees on duties and performance expectations.
• Mentor and develop other Operations Supervisors.
