Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a frontline Operations Supervisor to lead daily sortation operations and a staff of Package Handlers, in support of the Safety Above All Culture.

You will hire, coach, train, recognize performance, conduct evaluations, and ensure compliance with FedEx policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

The role requires planning, directing and controlling operations, effective communication, mentoring junior supervisors, and adapting quickly to changing business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; certification program or Associate’s degree acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Six months experience in package handler or supervisory roles.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to interpret data.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls specific day-to-day operations.
• Responsible for assigning and managing employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Leads daily meetings to ensure workforce communication and daily goals.
• Participates in development of safety strategies and programs.
• Mentors and develops critical skill sets for new Operations Supervisors.
• Adapts quickly to change to meet dynamic business needs.
