Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead frontline staff and champion the Safety Above All culture. You will manage day-to-day operations, assign personnel, and ensure safe, efficient package sortation in the facility.

You will coach and train staff, handle performance evaluations and discipline, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining compliance with FedEx policies and governmental regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or Associate's Degree or 2+ years of college toward a degree.
• Six (6) months experience in package handling or supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage staff; handle discipline and performance.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct, and control daily operations.
• Assign staff to maximize safety, efficiency, and cost control across the facility.
• Analyze performance data and drive improvement initiatives.
• Lead daily meetings to communicate updates and goals to staff.
• Support safety programs and policies; train on quality, SWAK, and dock safety.
• Mentor developing supervisors and adapt to changing business needs.
• Address customer service issues and escalate when needed.
