Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an experienced Safety Director for the Advanced Facilities Group (AFG). The role provides leadership on safety and health strategies, ensures program implementation across the region, and delivers analytical reporting to leadership.

The preferred location is the Kansas City area, with nationwide responsibilities for key projects. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety/health or related field, 10+ years of construction safety experience, and 5+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field.
• 10+ years construction safety experience.
• 5+ years people management experience.
• 2+ years budgeting or financial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Implements, manages and drives environmental, health and safety programs and initiatives across the Region.
• Measures environmental, health and safety metrics and provides timely analytics.
• Leads Drug and Alcohol program in accordance with corporate policies.
• Designs, leads and conducts safety training for Regional safety team members.
• Leads investigation team on serious or catastrophic safety matters.
• Collaborates with safety professionals nationwide to monitor trends.
