Job summary

JE Dunn Construction is seeking an experienced Safety Director for the Advanced Facilities Group (AFG). You will provide leadership on safety and health across regional projects, implementing programs and driving analytics to meet national goals.

The role prefers base in Kansas City, MO, but supports national opportunities. Candidates should have 10+ years in construction safety, 5+ years people management, and a track record on data center or high-tech projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field (Required).
• 10+ years construction safety experience (Required).
• 5+ years people management experience (Required).
• 2+ years budgeting or financial management experience (Required).
• Safety leadership experience on large scale advanced facilities/high tech projects (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implements, manages and drives EH&S programs and initiatives; calibrates to organizational goals.
• Measures EH&S metrics and provides timely analytics.
• Supports Worker’s Compensation claims with Risk and Insurance teams.
• Provides timely analytical information on EH&S and workers’ compensation issues to regional executives.
• Leads the Drug and Alcohol program per corporate policies.
• Attends internal and external meetings and offers timely solutions.
• Designs and conducts EH&S training for regional team members.
• Leads the investigation team on serious safety matters.
• Collaborates with safety professionals nationwide to monitor trends.
• Collaborates with marketing on related presentations and materials.
• Owns prequalification platforms (ISNET, Construct Secure) and works with client solutions partners.
• Authors publications for Company communications.
• Leads and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion.
