Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement (P) and preference for a School Bus endorsement (S). A clean driving record, background check, and drug testing are mandatory.

The driver must be 21 to 80 years old and participate in required LifeWise trainings. Candidates should align with LifeWise Academy's faith-based values and participate in church activities as

Qualifications

• CDL License (P) required.
• School Bus Endorsement (S) preferred.
• Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church with aligned doctrine.
• Must be 21–80 years old; driver over 75 must submit CDL/endorsement annually.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in 5 years.
• Must pass LifeWise background check.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Annual Physician's Statement for medical conditions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and LifeWise volunteers to/from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create a safe environment for children and enforce safety rules.
• Assist students getting on/off the vehicle; demonstrate calm, caring demeanor.
• Complete LifeWise training and participate in LifeWise classroom as agreed.
