Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time CDL bus driver to transport students and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a clean driving record, a valid CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement, and preferred school bus endorsement.

Applicants must be mature, actively involved in a local church, and able to pass background checks and drug testing. Training will be provided, and classroom volunteering may be available.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church aligned with LifeWise Faith.
• CDL with passenger vehicle endorsement required.
• School bus endorsement preferred.
• Age 21-80; annual CDL/P endorsement submission for drivers over 75.
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in past 5 years.
• Background check through LifeWise Academy is required.
• Drug/alcohol testing will be conducted (pre-employment, random, post-accidents).
• Medical statements for known conditions must be year-by-year underwriter-approved.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and volunteers to and from the LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws.
• Maintain bus cleanliness and mechanical safety.
• Perform regular bus inspections.
• Refuel the vehicle as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children.
• Enforce safety rules for students and assist with entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Complete LifeWise Academy training.
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if approved by the director.
