Norstella is seeking a Clinical Consulting Manager to bridge clinical expertise with data strategy in Real-World Data & Evidence. You will support business development, drive codebook creation, and contribute to RWE strategy across Health Economics, Instant Health Data, and Commercial analytics groups.

The role reports to the Chief Medical Officer with cross-functional collaboration and a focus on clinical data standards and analytics in a remote US setting.

Qualifications

• MD or PharmD required; clinical training completed
• 3–5 years of professional consulting experience after clinical training
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-clinical audiences
• Experience with structured project-management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Asana) in team delivery
• Comfort with structured healthcare data concepts (claims, EHR, coding systems)
• Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to develop data pipelines and analytics workflows, incorporating AI/ML where appropriate
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail in healthcare data

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development, scoping calls, and client presentations by translating clinical nuance into deliverables
• Partner with senior consultants to identify new business opportunities in existing and prospective accounts
• Contribute clinical perspective to RFPs, capability decks, and client-facing narratives
• Lead codebook and data dictionary development across claims, EHR, registries and other real-world data sources
• Translate clinical concepts into standardized coding logic (ICD-10, CPT, NDC, LOINC) for analytic datasets
• Manage codebook workstreams using workflow tools ensuring traceability and documentation standards
• Collaborate cross-functionally with biostatisticians, data engineers, and epidemiologists to QC variable definitions and coding logic
• Co-author white papers, blog posts, and client-facing points of view on RWD trends and RWE methodologies
• Represent the practice at industry conferences and webinars as needed
• Monitor regulatory and scientific landscape and translate implications for clients and internal teams
