Job summary

Norstella is seeking a Clinical Consulting Manager to join our Real-World Data (RWD) practice. You will bridge clinical expertise with data strategy, support business development, and drive codebook and data dictionary construction across claims, EHR, and other RWD sources.

You will collaborate with biostatisticians, data engineers, and epidemiologists to develop analytic datasets, validate coding logic, and contribute to thought leadership through white papers and client-facing narratives.

Qualifications

• MD or PharmD degree required.
• 3–5 years of professional consulting experience after clinical training.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate clinical concepts for non-clinical audiences.
• Experience with structured project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Asana).
• Comfort with structured healthcare data concepts (claims, EHR, coding systems).
• Collaboration with data science and engineering teams to develop database queries and data pipelines, incorporating AI/ML where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support proposal development, scoping calls, and client presentations by translating clinical nuance into deliverables.
• Partner with senior consultants to identify new business opportunities within client accounts.
• Contribute clinical perspective to RFP responses, capability decks, and client-facing narratives.
• Lead and contribute to codebook and data dictionary development across claims, EHR, registry, and other sources.
• Translate clinical concepts into standardized coding logic (ICD-10, CPT, NDC, LOINC) for analytic datasets.
• Manage codebook workstreams using JIRA and related tools, ensuring traceability and documentation standards.
