Job summary

Intermountain Health Heber Valley Hospital and Park City Hospital are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced cardiopulmonary care under physician orders. The role supports CRT staff and may lead special projects.

This full-time position is 36 hours per week with night shifts and offers benefits, a 5% pay differential for Heber/Park City, and opportunities to contribute to patient safety across two facilities.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution.
• RRT credential required.
• Current state license as Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS for healthcare providers required.
• Specific certifications such as PALS, ACLS, NRP required.
• Able to read and interpret information quickly; strong communication under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Performs and interprets diagnostic testing; obtains arterial gases; ensures equipment is functioning for patient care.
• Administers medications safely and evaluates effects; communicates patient progress to staff and physicians.
• Monitors patient condition; collaborates with physicians and nurses; educates patients and families on self-care.
• Completes documentation per standards; manages supplies and equipment; maintains productivity.
• Participates in quality and safety initiatives and departmental meetings; supports staff development.
• May float to other departments as needed; may be placed on-call during shifts.
