Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced respiratory care under physician orders. You will diagnose, evaluate, and manage cardiopulmonary conditions and support departmental projects as assigned.

Responsibilities include arterial blood gas analysis, protocol-driven interventions, medication administration, and interdepartmental communication to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Specific certifications as required (e.g., PALS, ACLS, NRP).
• Ability to read and interpret information quickly, especially during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures per protocol.
• Obtains arterial blood gases.
• Oversees equipment operation for optimal patient care.
• Initiates Respiratory Protocol according to department criteria.
• Administers medications in a timely and safe manner.
• Completes documentation according to departmental standards.
