Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced respiratory care in accordance with physician orders. The role supports CRT staff and may lead special clinical projects as designated by leadership.

The RRT will perform diagnostic testing, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure high-quality patient care. Flexibility to float to other departments and potential on-call duties are possible.

Responsibilities

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol.
• Administers medications in a timely and safe manner and documents progress.
• Maintains awareness of patient condition and communicates with physicians and nurses.
• Completes documentation according to departmental standards and monitors equipment.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives and department meetings.
• Promotes the respiratory care profession and mentors staff within the department.
• May float to other departments based on business needs.
• May be required to be on-call during a shift.
