Job summary

Intermountain Health in Lehi, Utah is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced-level care to patients, diagnosing, evaluating, treating, and managing cardiopulmonary conditions under physician orders. The RRT serves as a resource to CRT staff and may lead special projects as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers is required.
• Specific certifications as required (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP) is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol.
• Administers medications in a timely and safe manner and evaluates patient response.
• Maintains awareness of patient condition and communicates with physicians and nurses.
• Completes documentation according to departmental standards and monitors supplies/equipment.
• Participates in quality and patient safety initiatives and contributes to departmental meetings.
