Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT).
• Current license as Registered Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Specific certifications such as PALS, ACLS, NRP are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures according to protocol; obtains arterial gases.
• Administers medications safely and evaluates effects; communicates patient progress to staff and physicians.
• Completes documentation according to standards; maintains productivity and uses low census time when needed.
• Promotes mission and values while adhering to service behavior standards.
