Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital seeks an experienced Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide advanced cardiopulmonary care under physician orders. The role includes education, quality initiatives, and potential cross-department support within Cedar City.

The position offers full-time hours (36/week) with a robust benefits package and opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution.
• Registered by NBRC as RRT and current license to practice in the state.
• BLS for healthcare providers is required, with additional certifications as required (PALS/ACLS/NRP).

Responsibilities

• Perform, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests as per protocol and obtain arterial gases.
• Administer medications safely and reevaluate effects per protocol and communicate progress.
• Maintain patient condition awareness; share information with physicians and nurses and educate families.
• Complete documentation and monitor supplies, ensuring productivity standards.
• Participate in quality, safety, and department meetings, contributing ideas.
• Serve as a resource/mentor within the department and participate in ongoing improvement.
• Float to other departments when needed and be on-call during shifts.

NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program

Registered by NBRC (RRT)

Current license to practice Respiratory Therapy

Basic Life Support (BLS)

PALS/ACLS/NRP or equivalent certifications
