Job summary

UniFirst Corporation is seeking a Route Trainee in Austin, TX to support daily operations, learn the Route Service Representative role, and deliver high‑quality service on designated routes. The program provides hands‑on training to prepare you for a full‑time RSR position.

You will experience a real‑world setting, loading/unloading trucks, delivering clean garments, and ensuring timely service. A path to a commissioned RSR and growth within the company is highlighted.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a team‑oriented mindset and providing excellent customer service.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate in UniFirst’s Service Certificate Program to prepare for an RSR role.
• Assist our service team by loading and unloading route trucks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Deliver clean garments and products to customers and return soiled items.
• Provide route coverage when needed to manage established routes.
• Operate a company walk‑in truck along designated routes, prioritizing safety and customer relationships.
• Work across indoor and outdoor environments with energy and safety in mind.
• Contribute to the success of the Service Department through dependable service.
• Maintain a predictable Monday–Friday daytime schedule with no nights or weekends.
