Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a Route Coverage Specialist to step in on delivery routes when Route Service Representatives are unavailable. You will load, deliver, and unload garments, ensuring timely and accurate service while maintaining vehicle safety.

This role emphasizes proactive customer service, problem solving, and collaboration with service and management teams across routes, with opportunities to upsell and build customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including a physical exam.
• High school diploma, GED, or military service required.
• Strong customer service skills; ability to work independently while providing excellent service.
• Prior experience in customer service, route sales, or delivery is a plus.
• Tech-savvy; comfortable using new technologies to enhance efficiency.
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver garments and products to customers along established routes.
• Safely load, transport, and unload garments; collect used items for return.
• Provide excellent customer service with clear communication.
• Resolve customer requests independently to maintain loyalty.
• Manage invoices, conduct inventory audits, and maintain vehicle safety/appearance.
• Collaborate with Service and Management Teams on route support and installations.
• Upsell and strengthen customer relationships; share feedback with leadership.
