Job summary

Staples delivers office supplies to customers across assigned routes with a safety-first mindset and a focus on service excellence. As a Cover Delivery Driver, you will drive routes to cover for vacations and absences, unload and load as needed, and handle returns while maintaining professional interactions with customers.

You will use MS Word/Excel and GPS for routing, stay compliant with DOT requirements, and participate in our safety program.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• DOT medical card and drug screen compliance required.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Overtime availability for full-time staff.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and move heavy items with assistance.
• Safety footwear required.
• Must be 21+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of route assignments to cover vacations/absences 50%+ of the time.
• Provide outstanding customer service and handle product returns as needed.
• Transport office supplies on assigned route; load/unload as volume requires.
• Organize/load products for delivery using manifests and optimize routes.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform pre-trip inspections.
• Support safety culture and resolve customer issues on the go.
