Job summary

Staples is seeking a Cover Delivery Driver to support our office supplies delivery routes. You will cover for vacations and absences, ensure safe transport, and deliver excellent customer service along the way.

You will load, organize, and drive to customer sites, using GPS and POD devices to confirm deliveries. The role requires a valid license, DOT screening, and physical ability, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers' license with a clean driving record acceptable to the company.
• Must pass a DOT physical and drug screen (No THC).
• Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Overtime hours may be required based on business need.
• Ability to lift up to 70lbs and maneuver up to 130 lbs with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of route assignments to cover for vacations/absences (at least 50% of the time).
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues, accept product returns as required.
• Transport products safely and deliver office supplies on assigned route.
• Load vehicles when volume requires, organize and load product for delivery using manifest for efficient routing.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform pre-trip inspections.
