Job summary

Staples is seeking a Cover Delivery Driver to support our supply chain operations. You will drive routes to cover vacations and absences, deliver office supplies, and provide exceptional customer service while maintaining safety standards.

You will load and organize products for efficient delivery, use POD and GPS devices, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely, accurate deliveries. A valid license, DOT requirements, and physical ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with safe driving history and eligibility to drive a CMV.
• Pass DOT physical and drug screen (No THC) where legally permissible.
• Must obtain a 6-month DOT medical card.
• Basic English language skills (verbal and written).
• Overtime may be required for full-time associates based on business needs.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and maneuver up to 130 lbs with assistance.
• Must wear safety composite shoes.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience (16 ft+ straight truck) or comparable driving experience.
• High volume/small package delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive a variety of route assignments to cover vacations and absences at least 50% of the time.
• Provide outstanding customer service by helping resolve problems and by accepting product returns as required.
• Transport products safely and deliver office supplies on your assigned route; load vehicles as needed.
• Organize and load product for delivery using the manifest to assure an efficient route and schedule.
• Maintain safety practices, assist customers, and be the brand on wheels for Staples Supply Chain.
