Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. offers an 18-month Engineering Training Program with rotations across engineering and business functions, delivering hands-on experience, leadership development, and exposure to top industry talent.

Participants work fully on-site in the U.S., with rotations potentially requiring extended stays at other facilities, travel, and relocation support. Upon completion, graduates may transition into full-time roles in Cloud/AI, Automation, or Software Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
• Willingness to relocate and rotate across US locations.
• Strong communication and teamwork mindset.
• Interest in engineering leadership and problem solving.
• Experience with data analysis and AI tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete structured rotational assignments across engineering, operations, product development, and other key functions.
• Apply technical and business skills to real-world projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex challenges and drive impact.
• Receive mentorship and coaching from senior leaders and technical experts while developing problem-solving, communication, and leadership capabilities.
• Contribute to the successful and timely completion of projects, provide status updates, and deliver a final capstone project.
• Work on-site at your assigned Johnson Controls facility throughout the program and complete rotations that may require extended stays at other U.S. locations.
• Travel domestically and occasionally internationally for training, project work, and collaboration with global teams.
