Job summary

NANA Management Services is seeking a Security Officer for the Maniilaq Village Health Clinics area in Kotzebue, AK. The role operates on a 1 week on, 1 week off rotation and requires on-call work outside regular hours. Training includes a 10-day program in Kotzebue with lodging and transportation provided for new hires.

The position emphasizes safety, de-escalation, and rapid response to emergencies to protect staff and visitors in a public clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass Alaska background check and obtain Alaska Guard License fee.
• Ability to work in a team and communicate in English.
• Able to stand 8-12 hours per shift and stay on-site as needed.
• Safety oriented and compliant with policies.

Responsibilities

• Personally monitors assigned areas using visual, electronic, or audible methods.
• De-escalates situations to ensure safety of employees, customers, and clients.
• Examines doors, windows and other areas to ensure security.
• Reports incidents and documents data per policies.
• Assists in events setup and clinic readiness.
• Responds to emergencies to preserve life and property.
