Job summary

NANA Management Services, LLC is seeking a Security Officer to provide security for Maniilaq Village Health Clinics in Alaska. This on-site role prioritizes safety, with a 1 week on / 1 week off rotation and potential on-call hours outside normal business times.

The position includes a ten-day training in Kotzebue, AK with lodging and transportation provided. Responsibilities cover monitoring areas, de-escalation, access checks, incident reporting, and emergency response to protect employees,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass Alaska background check and obtain Guard license.
• Team player able to work with staff, visitors and clients.
• Decision-making ability with minimal supervision.
• Stand 8-12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
• Safety oriented and compliant with company and client rules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas visually, electronically, or audibly.
• De-escalate situations to maintain safety for staff and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, and secured areas for safety.
• Record incidents and report data per policies.
• Assist in events and clinic setup or teardown as needed.
• Notify on-site personnel of visitors and respond to emergencies.
• May issue IDs and monitor life safety systems.
• On-call work outside normal hours as scheduled.
