Job summary

Perdue Farms is launching an Operations Management Trainee program in Bridgewater, VA, starting June 2027. You will rotate through major operations areas over 24 months, with mentorship and cohort learning to build leadership and technical skills for future supervisor roles.

Compensation includes a competitive salary in the $72k–$80k range, benefits, and relocation assistance for eligible participants. A transition bonus is available as part of the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or engineering/science focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, rotational program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured rotations across key operational areas to build end-to-end understanding of plant operations.
• Learn and apply safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory requirements while working with operations leaders.
• Develop production knowledge, labor utilization, and performance metrics through hands-on learning.
• Support daily operations under supervision, building relationships with frontline and cross-functional partners.
• Contribute to projects that improve safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost.
• Lead and participate in leadership development sessions and cohort activities.
