Job summary

Perdue Farms in Milford, Delaware is launching an Operations Management Trainee program starting in June 2027. You will participate in two years of structured rotations and leadership development to prepare for a future supervisor role.

Candidates gain hands-on operations experience, mentorship, and exposure to cross-functional teams while building the skills needed to drive operational excellence and strong business results.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA 3.0.
• Bachelor’s degree within 24 months of start date in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or related field.
• Willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work well in a team or independently.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured rotations across key operational areas.
• Learn and apply expectations for safety, food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop working knowledge of production processes, equipment, labor utilization, and performance measures.
• Support daily operational activities under supervision of experienced leaders.
• Build relationships with frontline associates and cross-functional partners.
• Use data and observations to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in Pathways learning, mentoring, and leadership development sessions.
• Demonstrate increasing independence in the first six months.
• Prepare for transition into a Production Supervisor role after 12 months.
• Second-year responsibilities include coaching, project ownership, and leadership development.
