Job summary

Acuren is seeking an experienced Rope Access Mechanical Tech II for U.S. Northwest callout work across multiple sites, including Commerce City and Denver area.

This intermediate role performs high rope access tasks safely at heights, following IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standards, with focus on inspection, rigging, and rescue planning under supervision. The ideal candidate holds an IRATA Level 2 or SPRAT Level 2 certification, 1000+ documented hours or equivalent, and is willing to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 certification required or ability to obtain
• Minimum hours in IRATA/SPRAT as specified in the posting
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified NDT (ANY LEVEL)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret results
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing preferred
• NACE or NCCER certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced rope access work at heights per IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standards
• Plan and implement rope access systems for various work scenarios
• Maintain rope access equipment and report safety concerns
• Demonstrate Rope Access Level 2 skills and knowledge
• Examine objects under inspection with adherence to safety procedures
• Conduct specialized inspections and detailed reports
• Assist in rigging and rescue plans under supervision
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary trade specialists
• Identify hazards and communicate to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
