Job summary

Acuren is seeking experienced Rope Access Mechanical Techs Level I or II to support callout work across the U.S. Northwest Region, with emphasis in the PNW. Preference for NDT or mechanical certifications. Handles rope access duties safely and timely under supervision.

Position requires travel up to 50%, valid driver’s license, and ability to start by Oct 1, 2026. Strong emphasis on safety, inspection reporting, and collaboration with multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• SPRAT/IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Certification or ability to obtain
• Minimum 1000 documented hours IRATA or 500 documented hours SPRAT in 12 months
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified NDT (ANY LEVEL)
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to perform NDT tasks and interpret results
• Knowledge of NDT equipment
• Experience in report writing preferred
• NACE or NCCER certified preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced rope access work at heights per IRATA/SPRAT Level 2 standards
• Plan and implement rope access systems for various work scenarios
• Maintain rope access equipment and report safety concerns
• Demonstrate skills of Rope Access Technician Level 2
• Establish techniques for examination of objects under inspection
• Conduct specialized inspections and detailed work reports
• Assist in rigging and rescue plans under supervision of Level 3
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary trade specialists
• Identify hazards and communicate them to Level III
• Other duties as assigned
