Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to support client sites with ROI requests for patient medical records. You will review requests, obtain data from multiple sources, and ensure HIPAA-compliant releases while handling calls, walk-ins, and physician-office inquiries.

At client facilities across the United States, you will log and scan requests in ROI On-Line, maintain records, and assist with payments as needed. Prior ROI in a physician setting is a plus.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience entering data into computer systems.
• Experience using the internet is required.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• Strong verbal communication skills; responding to customer inquiries.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven dependability and reliability.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information per HIPAA guidelines and obtaining data from various sources.
• Answer phone calls concerning ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process requests from physician offices and fax information as needed.
• Log and scan medical record requests into ROI On-Line database.
• Handle cash payments for requests at specified sites where applicable.
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer applications and data entry.
• Works independently to meet production goals.
