Job summary

MRO is seeking an ROI Specialist to support client sites with Release of Information requests. The role involves reviewing requests, obtaining patient data from multiple sources, and logging activity in ROI On-Line. Strong data entry and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities include handling inquiries by phone or in person, prioritizing physician office requests, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and site policies. Prior experience in ROI or HIM is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of data entry experience.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet production goals.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• ROI experience in a physician's office or HIM is a plus.
• Attention to detail demonstrated in prior roles.

Responsibilities

• Review requests to determine records to release per HIPAA guidelines.
• Retrieve patient data from various sources (electronic, off-site, or physical records).
• Answer phone calls about ROI issues.
• Assist walk-in customers and log information into ROI On-Line database.
• Process physician office requests on priority and fax information.
• Log and scan medical records into ROI On-Line database.
• Comply with site policies and regulations.
• Handle and record cash payments at client sites where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
