Job summary

Dexmate Inc. is seeking a Demo Engineer to bring robotics demos to life for prospects, partners, and events. You will set up, script, and run demonstrations on-site and at customer locations, then troubleshoot and repair in real time to keep the robot on task.

In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with the sales team to scope pilots, capture customer feedback for engineering, and build useful demo collateral. Expect travel and dynamic demo environments.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of hands-on experience with physical robots.
• Degree in robotics, automation, mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or CS, or equivalent hands-on track record.
• Proficient in Python to script demos, automate setup steps, parse logs and extract data.
• Comfort with ROS/ROS 2, teleoperation and diagnosing issues under time pressure.
• Ability to explain technical systems to non-technical buyers without losing clarity.
• Genuine composure presenting demos when things go wrong.
• Willing to travel roughly 30% and handle crates, cables, and load-ins.
• Legally authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Run technical demos for prospects, partners, and press at our facility, customer sites, and industry events.
• Own demo readiness: robot setup, calibration, task scripting, teardown, shipping, and field repair.
• Build and maintain a demo library that shows capabilities against real customer use cases.
• Join sales calls as the technical voice—answer questions on payload, reach, cycle time, safety, integration, and deployment.
• Scope and support pilot deployments: define success criteria, configure the robot, train customer operators.
• Staff booths at trade shows, including multi-day events with long hours on your feet.
• Feed structured customer feedback to product and engineering.
• Write technical collateral sales needs: demo scripts, spec one-pagers, integration FAQs.
