Job summary

Dexmate Inc. is seeking a hands-on hardware technician to support our deployed fleet of robots. You will travel to customer sites, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, repair on site, and document repairs for the knowledge base.

This role requires owning field visits end-to-end, from triage to repair, with little supervision. You’ll interact with customers, mentor junior techs as needed, and feed field learnings back to engineering to improve designs.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of hands-on field service or technician experience with robotics, industrial automation, or similar complex electromechanical hardware.
• Proven track record owning field visits independently — diagnosing unfamiliar failures on-site and closing the loop with customers.
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills: multimeters, oscilloscopes, wiring diagrams, schematics, actuators, motors, gearboxes, bearings.
• Comfort with frequent travel and managing logistics on the road.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or equivalent hands-on field experience.

Responsibilities

• Field Deployment & Commissioning — travel to customer sites to install, commission, and validate new units; ensure deployments meet spec.
• On-Site Diagnostics & Repair — diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical systems under field conditions.
• Preventive Maintenance — run scheduled maintenance across the fleet and track wear on the 200+ unit base.
• Field Troubleshooting — act as frontline technical responder for hardware issues, loop in engineering as needed.
• Documentation & Knowledge Base — maintain repair logs and build field runbooks.
